Students bios, updates & photo Pre- Reunion Scholarship Fundraiser Recipient!

At our 2006 Reunion our class raised $6153.00 for a scholarship.
Wednesday June 25, 2008 the second scholarship was handed out to Chris Gibson. Debbie Summerscales (Cowieson) presented the award on behalf of our class. Thanks Deb! Debbie's words are below. Right photo, Debbie does her talk.
"In
2006 the graduating class of '81 reunited for our 25 year reunion, with over
100 grads attending from all over North America. It was a weekend of
rekindling old friendships and establishing some new ones. It was
also a time to pay tribute and remember two grads that were no longer with
us - Brad Poole and Bruno Comty. Our scholarship is awarded on friendship
and character, and is a fitting tribute to our two friends. The recipient
is recognized by their peers as a true friend. It is my privilege and honour
to present the Class of '81, memorial scholarship, in memory of Brad Poole
and Bruno Comty, to Chris Gibson."
Photo Left, Michelle and our recipient Louise The first Scholarship was handed out June 25, 2007 to Louise Boulet. Michelle Moffat from our class presented the scholarship and said these words: "2006 marked the 25th anniversary of the graduating class of 1981. We celebrated with over 100 grads attending. It was awesome!! Although seeing all our old school chums went beyond words, we were also aware that 2 fellow grads were no longer with us. We thought about what we could do in their memory. A memorial scholarship made sense. We thought it would be a one time deal but our fellow grads were so supportive, they generously donated over $6000 to the fund. This exceeded our wildest dreams and through their generosity we will be able to sustain this award for years to come. We wanted a different type of scholarship – one that would be fitting to our 2 friends – one that personified what a friend truly was. This scholarship is based on that – on friendship and on character – on an individual that their peers recognize as a true friend. The graduating class of 1981, along with Jacques and Lydia Comty, in memory of Bruno Comty and Brad Poole are proud to award this year’s scholarship to Louise Boulet." Criteria for the Scholarship:
